From the moment her mother placed a paintbrush in five-year-old Shelly's hands her eyes were open to see beauty in all things. Watching her mother paint inspired Shelly to carry on the family's artistic heritage. That perspective directed Shelly to help others embrace the beauty she is able to bring to the surface--from subtle face makeovers to painting bold murals on buildings.

In spite of her early love of beauty, Shelly's life traveled a difficult path to a place of brokenness. As God's redemptive love broke through, Shelly's transformed life overcame a broken family, abusive relationships, and poor choices that left her contemplating suicide. Her testimony is truly a story of victory from ashes to beauty.

Today Shelly serves as an inspirational beauty coach, esthetician/makeup artist, and beauty editor for Lifestyle magazine. She is the graduate of the prestigious International Academy and has taught students and teachers the art of makeup. Shelly also holds certifications as a nutritional consultant, personal trainer and graduate of one of the top makeup schools in the industry, Joe Blasco.

To keep abreast of the latest techniques is a must in the fashion industry. Shelly studied under Emmy Award winner Eve Pearl, head makeup artist for ABC's The View and makeup expert for Jane Iredale cosmetics and participates in the International Esthetics, Cosmetics & Spa conferences and other master classes.

Shelly and husband, award winning singer/songwriter and worship pastor, Angelo, live in Florida with their two sons where, in addition to Beauty by God, she is a home-school mom.
