Join us as The Salt Shaker welcomes back local & nationally known author, Bonnie Leon, as she signs her latest book, Touching the Clouds. In this first book of the new Alaskan Skies Series, Kate Evans is an adventurous and independent young woman with a pioneering spirit. When she leaves her home in Washington State to follow her dream of being an Alaskan bush pilot, she knows it will be an uphill battle. But she never expected it to be quite like this. The Salt Shaker hosts aspiring, local author, Michael Miller on his book tour of, The Voiceless Many. In Miller’s first released book, The Voiceless Many, brings to light what's been overlooked, ignored and shrugged off for so long.

Brian Wellington is a high school student who knows well the destruction teasing and humiliation can bring - he's been a victim of it his entire life. And when a fellow student who shares in the same struggle takes his rage out on his school, Brian stands idly by. This traumatic event opens his eyes to the many others who suffer the same treatment, and from then on vows to always stand up for and give strength to those afflicted by the wounds of verbal, mental and physical abuse in school. His determination attracts the attention of a burned out history teacher. Together, they form a unique bond that leads Brian to his calling—to be a high school teacher.

This book tells of heartache, anger, redemption, resolve and hope.

Bryan Davis

Bryan Davis is the author of the Dragons in Our Midst and Oracles of Fire series, contemporary/fantasy books for young adults. The first book, Raising Dragons, was released in July of 2004, followed by The Candlestone, Circles of Seven, and Tears of a Dragon. Eye of the Oracle launched the Oracles of Fire series and hit number one on the CBA Young Adult best-seller list in January of 2007.
